Engineering started under an LNTP in August and an NTP/PO was issued in October 2019 and the required energization date was March 06, 2020. The schedule, as stated, was very extremely tight and required that PO’s be placed expeditiously and had to be expedited with almost no room for error. The transformer was supplied by the owner and the installation sequencing had to be flawless to ensure on-time energization.

There were LDs on the project as well but working together with our suppliers, owner, and our installation and testing teams we were able to achieve the energization on the contracted energization date of 03/06/20.

Interconnect utility for the project was SunFlower and detailed coordination and reviews on protection schemes including primary and backup protection systems were done with them that resulted and a system that worked right the first time. Detailed step by step energization procedure was developed with signoffs whose implementation resulted in a safe and coordinated and on time energization of the project.
